Nancy Kleist was born on September 16, 1942, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She graduated from Memorial High School and went on to build a life defined by hard work, perseverance, generosity, and love for the people around her.

Nancy worked many different jobs throughout her life, always approaching each one with dedication and a strong work ethic. She spent many years working at Uniroyal until the plant closed. Afterward, Nancy began a new chapter in her life by pursuing a career in health care. She found fulfillment in caring for others and remained in health care until her retirement.

Retirement gave Nancy more time to enjoy some of the things she loved most. She especially enjoyed camping up north in Chetek, Wisconsin, with her husband. Their campsite was always a welcoming place, and Nancy loved having family and friends join them. Days were often spent fishing, while evenings brought everyone together around a game of cribbage and good conversation. She treasured those simple moments and the company of the people she loved.

Nancy also enjoyed shopping and, perhaps most of all, helping others in any way she could. She had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or do something kind for someone else. Her caring nature touched many lives.

Nancy will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, strong work ethic, and the joy she found in bringing people together. She created countless memories with her family and friends that will be cherished for years to come.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and traditions she shared with those around her.

Nancy is survived by: her children, Jack Semingson, and Stephanie Semingson, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by: her parents, Ole and Olive (Swenson) Knutson, her husband, Gary Kleist, her children, Michael Semingson, and Scott Semingson, her siblings, Victor Knutson, Lillian Kaufman, Omar Knutson, and Esther Klebesadel, and several nieces and nephews.
