Nancy E. Peterson, 66, of Eau Claire, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at Milestone Senior Living.\r\nNancy was born in Ladysmith, WI on January 2, 1945, daughter of Walter and Treva (Baker) Strandt. \r\nNancy married Harold J. Peterson on September 5, 1975, in Ladysmith, WI. \r\nNancy was an Administrative Assistant for General Casualty Insurance Company and also worked at Summit Adjusting, NSP, and Christopher&Banks. \r\nNancy was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. \r\nNancy is survived by her husband, Harold of Eau Claire; two daughters, Theresa (Jeff) Stanley of Birchwood and Tamara Mueller of Eau Claire; 5 grandchildren, Jordan, Tara, Trenton, Benjamin, and Gavin; and two sisters, Beverly Stone of Aurora, CO and Joyce (Peter) Boss of Bruce, WI; brothers-in-law, Ivan Peterson of Madison, Gerry (Sue) Peterson of London, England, and Eldon (Velma) Peterson of Broadhead; a sister-in-law Joyce Vold of Osseo; and an aunt Ruby Baker, Duluth, MN and several nieces and nephews. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; brothers-in-law, Clarence Stone and Bud Vold; a sister-in-law Sara Peterson; and a nephew Jeffrey Stone. \r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1310 Main St. in Eau Claire with Pastor Sherm Iverson and Pastor Paul Oman officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. \r\nThe family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Thapar, Dr. Schifeling and the staff the Sacred Heart Cancer Center, Milestone Senior Living and St. Joseph's Hospice for their warm generosity and care provided for Nancy.
