Nancy (Lundholm) Weber recently passed away at her home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she had lived for many years. Nancy was born on September 8, 1955, to Doug and Loretta Lundholm, and grew up in Eau Claire, WI. She would have been 71 on her birthday this year. From the get-go, Nancy was a strong-minded and independent person.

Nancy graduated from Memorial High School with the class of 1973 and shortly following, began her work career, starting as a secretary with Bark River Equipment Company in Eau Claire. Some years later, she moved to a job with Holiday Inn hotels, first in Eau Claire and then in Billings, Montana. Later, she worked for Republic Airlines in an administrative position, which started in Minneapolis and then Los Angeles. She eventually moved back to Minneapolis where she began working for the Minneapolis police department, first as a secretary, and then as administrative assistant to the chief of police. After some years, she sought and succeeded in advancing to a position with the crime division as a crime analyst. Nancy worked for the Minneapolis police department for more than 30 years until her retirement in December 2020.

Nancy loved country and blues music and was a true fan of many musical groups over the years. She always had music playing in her home and in her car and was ready to go hear live music any time. She and friends traveled to Nashville several times for CMA Fest, and she traveled to many other cities to attend concerts of her favorite artists. Nancy herself was musically inclined and taught herself to play the piano by ear when she was a child

Nancy was an animal lover, especially of big, orange tabby cats. The most recent, her beloved Bailey, gave her years of love and joy. He was forever loved and was greatly missed after he passed on. Another deeply held passion of Nancy's was black bears and the North American Bear Center in Ely, Minnesota. She traveled there many times over the years to do volunteer work, and through those visits, became a fan of numerous individual bears at the Center by observing their distinctive appearances and unique characteristics. She was an avid supporter of the Bear Center and developed friendships with many other volunteers and staff there. Through her enthusiasm, Nancy also interested others in supporting the Bear Center. She often would start a conversation by saying "Let's talk bears."

Nancy loved her family and especially enjoyed holidays with family and other special times spent together with family and friends. She will be deeply missed at family gatherings. She is survived by her brother, Jim Lundholm (Lou Ann), and her sisters, Mary Dettmann (Kevin), Susan Brown, and Vicki Gillett (Jim Rennhack). She also leaves behind nephews, Travis Willer (Alicia), Nicholas Brown, and Nolan Dettmann (Aiyana); niece, Emily Brown (Travis Baas); great nieces Avery Baas, and Luciana and Lark Dettmann; great nephews, Jerron Willer, Everett Baas, and Archer Dettmann; and many cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her parents and grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 4 pm on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Avenue in Eau Claire.
