NATHAN WEBSTER HART Nathan Webster Hart, 52, of Eau Claire, WI, died March 23, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System (Luther Hospital) following a long illness. Nathan was born February 15, 1964 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Webster A. and Bonnie G. (Link) Hart of Eau Claire. Nathan grew up in Eau Claire and graduated from Memorial High School in 1982. He attended the University of Chicago from 1982 to 1984 and received his B.A. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After an internship in Hawaii, he received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1992. He joined the firm Jardine, Logan and O'Brien in St. Paul, MN, where he was an insurance defense attorney. In the 2000s, he became an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Minnesota. Nathan represented multiple state health licensing boards including the Board of Medical Practice, the Board of Psychology, and the Board of Nursing. On May 27, 1995, he married Jacqueline Marie Dutton at the Landmark Center in St. Paul, MN. His first daughter, Marina Margaux Hart, was born in 1996 and his second daughter, Geneva St. Croix Hart, was born in 1999. His daughters were his pride and joy. He and Jacquie divorced in 2008. Nathan was a voracious reader, a skilled writer and witty companion. He loved opera, was a connoisseur of wine, and enjoyed spending his weekends with his mother's extended family in Minong, WI on lakes Pokegama and Nancy. Nathan is survived by his daughters; his parents; his sister Jennifer (Jeff) Murray of Woodbury, MN and her sons Justin, Owen and Evan; his sister Elizabeth Hart (Jay Heit) of Eau Claire, WI, and her sons Preston and Elliott; his sister Catherine Hart of Eau Claire, WI; his maternal aunt Connie Link and his paternal aunt Monica (Paul) Honey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis W. and Shirley S. (née Shaw) Link of Minong, WI, and Glenn A. and Margaret B. (née Webster) Hart of Florence, WI, and his cousin Timothy F. Wuethrich. Nathan will be interred in Greenwood Cemetery, Minong, WI this spring. A memorial service will be held this spring in Woodbury, MN.
