NORA I. LAYCOCK, 83, of 327 Summit Ave., died Sunday, September 21, 1997 at Luther Hospital. She was born January 7, 1914 to Bart and Anne (Lee) Finstad in Chippewa Falls. She grew up there and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School with the class of 1932. Nora married Dean E. Laycock in Bessemer, MI on November 4, 1933. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, and active with her Chippewa Falls Reunion Committee for many years, having helped coordinate their 65th celebration this past year.\r\nSurvivors include five daughters, Faye (John) Amundson and Judy (Dick) Greene both of Eau Claire, Joan Laycock (William) Carter and Constance (Alan) Floyd both of Mpls, and Linda Laycock of San Rafael, CA; twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a sister, Faye Eyler of Sparta; several nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband; and three brothers, Lee, Ray and Bert Finstad. \r\nFuneral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Pastor Rolf Nestingen of Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire. Friends may call 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Friday.\r\nThe family requests memorials be directed for pediatric research to the Leukemia Society of America-Wisconsin Chapter, 1126 S. 70th St., Suite N405A, Milwaukee,WI 53214.
