Nordahl E. Fleming Sr., 81, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Lutheran Hospital. Nordahl was born January 31, 1924, in Jackson County, the son of Lawrence and Edith (Swenson) Fleming.\r\nNordahl worked as a carpenter his whole life. He loved working with wood and hunting.\r\nNordahl is survived by his life companion, Sandra Kliese; sister, Lorraine Schaffer, of Eau Claire; five sons, Gary of Altoona, Greg (Pam) of Chippewa Falls, Dale (Peggy) of Eau Claire, Nordahl Jr. (Rose) of Chippewa Falls, and Scott of Eau Claire; two daughters, Jean-Anne Nelson, of Albertville, and Kim (Jeff) Hrdlicka of Eau Claire; ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.\r\nNordahl was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jeffery, in 2000; and a brother, Rodney, killed in WWII.\r\nMemorial services will be at 10:30 a.m Friday, May 27, 2005, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Thorpe officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home. \r\n
