Obituary

Norma L. Heller, 79, of Eau Claire, died Thursday, March 25, 2010, at her residence. \r\nShe was born in Kenmare, North Dakota, on November 5, 1930, a daughter of Nordahl and Marie (Olson) Lokken.\r\nNorma is survived by her daughter, Donna DeValois Bezanson and her husband Richard of Eau Claire; Granddaughter, Amity (Mark) Westphalen of Washington, IL; four sisters, Ardis Welke, Clarice Campbell, Ilene Wright, and Grace Lokken; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.\r\nShe was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire where she volunteered in the church office. She had served as deputy grand regent of Eau Claire Women of the Moose #1408 in Eau Claire. Norma had a life long love of horses and was a member of the first trail riding club in Eau Claire. She golfed in the Monday ladies league at Pine Meadow Golf Club, and was an avid Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Braves fan. \r\nNorma worked for many years as a hostess/cashier at Austin's White House where she was known affectionately as "Little Norma." She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Heller; two brothers, Arnie and Roy Lokken; and three brothers-in-law.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Eau Claire with Pastor Nathan Aaseng officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
