NORMAN H. DITTNER, 68, of 638 Cochrane St., died Friday, January 22, 1999, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born November 16, 1930 in Colby,WI, to Henry and Sarah (Cole) Dittner. He graduated from Greenwood High School with the class of 1948. Norman married Grace Stai in Eau Claire on October 19, 1952. \r\nHe was a home builder in the Eau Claire area for many years, until retiring in 1992. Norman was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church and had served as president of the Eau Claire Little League and had been active with Eau Claire Babe Ruth. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he also looked forward to coaching the Packers while watching their games!\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Grace; two daughters, Melanie (Allan) Albricht of Menomonie and Paula Bourget of Eau Claire; four sons, Neil (Arlene) of Eau Claire, Larry (Denise) of Mikana, Patrick and Douglas both of Coon Rapids, MN; nine grandchildren, Brad and Alissa Dittner, Kristen and Heather Gifford, Sarah, David and Anna Albricht, and Allyson and Kyle Bourget; a sister, Margaret (Gordon) Walker of Augusta; many special nieces and nephews; and special friend and neighbor Patrick Beyerl.\r\nNorman was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Maynard.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bethesda Lutheran Brethern Church with Pastor Morris Vold officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the Sacred Heart Regional Cancer Center.
