ODEAN J. SCHREINER, 73 of formerly of 678 Wisconsin Street, died Monday, October 21, 1996 in Eau Claire. He was born October 19, 1923 in Stanley, Wisconsin to Otto and Josephine (Wold) Schreiner. As a young boy he moved with his family to Eau Claire where he grew up and attended school. Odean served with the US Army during World War II in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters. In August 1947 he married Virginia Hass in Eau Claire. Odean married Catherine Dutter Johnson in Eau Claire in December 1968. He retired from Uniroyal in 1970.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Catherine of Augusta; three daughters, Nancy (Steven) Kremer of Ladysmith, Juanita Godfrey of Gresham, Oregon and Connie Schreiner of Augusta; two sons, Dean and Greg Schreiner both of Augusta; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Norma Sather of Mondovi, Arvilla (Frank) Hehl and Ava Sandberg both of Eau Claire.\r\nHe was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Duane; and two sisters Gladys Larson and Gloria Tylka.\r\nPrivate family services were held at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home.
