Obituary

Olga I. MacKnight, 93, formerly of Elk Mound died Saturday, February 7, 2004 at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona. She was born on September 9, 1910 in Black River Falls, the youngest daughter of George and Emilie (Hortum) Gilbertson. She graduated from Racine High School.\r\nOlga married William R. MacKnight in Racine on November 8, 1930.\r\nSurvivors include her children, Elaine MacKnight Wathke of Denver, CO, Warren MacKnight of Joliet, IL, Joanne Sanders of Colorado Springs, CO, Judith Brummond of Eau Claire, Joyce (Richard) Shaughnessy of Bloomington, MN, Pamela MacKnight Cleasby of Denver, CO, Dale MacKnight of Minneapolis, MN, Debra MacKnight Jakobi of Eau Claire; eighteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nOlga was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William in 1972; two daughters, Patricia MacKnight in 1958 and Sharon Larrin in 2000; and a grandson, David Wathke in 1987; and six brothers and sisters, Agnes Messelt, Ernest Gilbertson, Harley Gilbertson, Elsie Olson, Grace Gilbertson and Mabel Bergeron.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2004 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Sister Mary Jane Cournoyer officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of services at the funeral home.
