Olive L. (Bryan) Arnold, 94, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Dearwood Adult Family Home in the Town of Seymour. She was born on April 16, 1920, in Eau Claire, to Benjamin and Maude (Parsons) Bryan. Olive attended school in Eau Claire and eventually moved to Racine. She worked at West View Nursing Home for 12 years, retiring in 1974. Olive was very happy working around elderly people. She moved back to Eau Claire in 1984. In 1995, Olive married Louis Arnold and after his death in 2003, she found happiness being close to her sister, Alberta. Although she had no children, Olive was close to Alberta's children and their spouses; Patricia and Kenneth Santarius, Marilyn and Reynold Perala, Cheryl and Fred Heffling, Cindy and Tom Sampson, Robyn and Randy Nelson, and Jon and Michelle Breitzman, as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her late husband, Louis's children; Louis G. and Mary Jo Arnold, Richard and Rochelle Arnold, Dean Arnold, and Barbara Arnold. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; sisters, Alberta Breitzman and Thelma Marasek; and brothers, Willie, Eugene and Bernard. "Aunt Ollie" greatly enjoyed the family and holiday get-togethers and even though she had a severe hearing loss for many years, she always had a quick wit and a big smile. The family would like to thank the staff at Dearwood Adult Family Home, especially Elaine and Kayla, who took such wonderful care of Olive and made her part of their family for the past 4 ½ years. A funeral service will be held at 12-Noon, on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
