ONA ANN VERA (LOVLIEN) JOHNSON, 76, formerly of 3118 N. 6th St., Eau Claire, died Wednesday, June 30, 1999 at Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington in Bloomington, MN. She was born on December 26, 1922 in Colfax, Wisconsin to Melvin and Ella (Peterson) Lovlien. She graduated from Colfax High School and attended Wisconsin State University in Eau Claire. \r\nOna married Kenneth R. Johnson on November 24, 1945 in Colfax.\r\nOna received her Registered Nursing Degree at Luther Hospital School of Nursing in 1944. She worked at Buffalo Memorial Hospital in Mondovi and then at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire where she was in charge of Central Supply and Purchasing Director for several years. After retiring from her medical profession, Ona and Kenneth owned and operated two group homes in Eau Claire for several years. \r\nShe was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and the American Business Women's Association.\r\nSurvivors include a daughter, Karen Theis; a grandson, Bradley John (Stacy) Theis both of Bloomington, MN; and a brother-in-law, Willard (Annie) Johnson of Eau Claire. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Kenneth on August 20, 1994.\r\nOna dedicated her life to helping others and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.\r\nOna's great enjoyment was air travel with her family. She made several trips to Hawaii and also visited Norway, Denmark and Sweden.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Concordia Lutheran Church with Pastor Frederick W. Thieste officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens Cemetery in the town of Washington. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
