OTTO H. ERDMAN, 88, 1261 East St., died Thursday, October 3, 1996 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born near Augusta on March 11, 1908 to Henry and Othelia (Block) Erdman. He was a 1928 graduate of Eau Claire Senior High School, and graduated from the Eau Claire Teacher's College in 1932. \r\nOn May 26, 1934, Otto married Hethel R. Grorud at Central Lutheran Church in Mondovi. He retired from Uniroyal in 1970, after thirty-seven years of service. He was a 75 - year member of Epiphany Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Epiphany Dartball League. Otto held office in the Uniroyal Retirement Club, and was an active member of AARP.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Hethel, of 62 years; a son, Jim, of Ashland, VA; a daughter, Dorothy (Robert) Englund of Brainerd, MN; a grandson, Steve (Roxanne) Englund of Arlington, VA; a granddaughter, Sheri Englund and her husband, Luke Keller of Austin, TX; a great-granddaughter, Julia Michelle Englund, Arlington, VA; two sisters: Dala Severson of Eau Claire, and Hilda (Alvin) Erdman of Augusta; many nieces and nephews.\r\nOtto was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Alex and Carl; and two sisters, Dora Johnson and Louise Mitchell.\r\nOtto loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman who always seemed to make his catch. Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Monday at Epiphany Lutheran Church, with Pastor Frederick C. Sauder officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\nThe family requests memorial be directed to the Epiphany Lutheran Church Building Fund.
