Obituary

Otto E. Linse, 82, of Eau Claire passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Clairemont Nursing&Rehab Center in Eau Claire. He was born on October 9, 1926, in Eau Claire, the son of Otto E. and Frieda (Vennen) Linse Sr. He attended Eau Claire High School prior to entering the U.S. Navy his junior year of High School. Otto served his country following the invasion of Pearl Harbor and served four years until the time of his honorable discharge. In 1956 he married Violet Wills. They were married for 34 years until her passing in 1991. Otto married Alberta (Isham) Leazott in Eau Claire on April 17, 1993, at St. James the Greater Parish. Otto was a member of Saint James the Greater Parish. He worked for Johnson Lithographics for many years until his retirement. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and bowling. Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Alberta; four step children, Linda (Keith) Leazott-Dziuk of Eau Claire, Steven Leazott of Eau Claire, Karen Leazott of Woodbury, MN, Duane (Jackie) Leazott of Coon Rapids, MN; many step-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Quilling of Menomonie, and Betty (Roland) Preuss of Indianapolis, IN; a step-granddaughter, Dawn Wills of Hudson, WI; and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by two sisters, Louise Meyers, and Joan Kramer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church with Father John A. Schultz celebrating the Mass. Burial will be private at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass Wednesday at church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral&Cremation Services is serving the family. Memorials are preferred to the St. James The Greater All Are Welcome Fund, 2502 11th St., Eau Claire, WI 54703, or to the Alzheimers Assn. of Greater WI, 1227B Menomonie St., Eau Claire, WI 54703. The family would like to specially thank the staff at Grace Lutheran Adult Day Services for their loving care, and also the caring team of the Clairemont Nursing and Rehab Center, Dr. Randall Casper, and Father John Schultz.
