Pandora "Penny" Evelyn Anderson, 88, of Eau Claire died Sunday, January 10, 2010, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born on the family homestead near Faith, South Dakota on November 23, 1921, a daughter of Carl and Marie (Hanson) Johnson.\r\nAs a teenager Penny moved with her family back to the Osseo area. It was there that she met the love of her life, Ivan L Anderson. Penny married Ivan on March 1, 1941, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.\r\nShe was a longtime member of Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church in Eau Claire.\r\nPenny was a loving wife and mother, and devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.\r\nPenny is survived by her two sons, Paul (Lori) Anderson of Battle Ground, WA and their son, Elias Anderson, Timothy (Julie) Anderson of Eau Claire and their daughters, Elisabeth and Emilee Anderson, two daughters, Karen Anderson of Altoona and Rebekah (Jim) Narvesen of Eagan, MN and their children, David (Sonja), Amy, Tom, Andy and Kjerstin Narvesen; great-granddaughter, Aron Anderson, great-grandson Nathaniel Narvesen; brother, Dan (Shirley) Johnson of Slinger, WI and several nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan in 2007; a son, David Anderson; a grandson, Isaiah Anderson; her sister, Minnie Johnson; and three brothers, Elmer, Leonard, and Clarence Johnson;\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church, Eau Claire with Pastor Rodney Venberg officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. \r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the Missionary Fund at Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church, 123 W.
