Obituary

Pastor Clifford A. Le Hew 81, 918 Fay Street went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 21, 1996 at the Center of Care.He was born in Norway, Kansas on November 20, 1914 to Peter and Etha (Knighton) Le Hew. Cliff married Bernice Schlesser on June 19, 1948 in Milwaukee. He became ordained in 1967 through the Evangelical Church Alliance of Joliet, IL. He and Benice operated the Bible Crusade Mission on N. Barstow Street for 24 years.\r\nCliff was a member of, The James M. Hays Lodge No.331, the Scottish Rite Valley of Eau Claire and the Zor Shrine Temple of Madison He was happy to be a part in helping the Shriners Hospitals for burned and crippled children.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Bernice; a son, Robert of Eau Claire, a brother, Oliver of Coeur D'Alene, ID, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.\r\nHe will always be remembered for his gentle and kind spirit, his good sense of humor, his love for people and most of all his love for his Lord and Savior. He will surely be missed by family and friends.\r\nMemorial services will be at 2 P.M. Sunday at Putnam Heights Church of Christ-Christian with Pastor Richard Ellis of Trinity Baptist Church officiating. There will be no Visitation. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the Family.\r\nIn lieu of flowers the Family requests memorials be directed to Trinity Baptist Church or the donors choice.
