Patricia "Pat" Marie Engedal, 90, of Eau Claire, surrounded by her family, went home to be with her Lord, on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Grace Woodlands in Eau Claire. She was born in Parksville, Kentucky on May 13, 1924, the daughter of James and Susie (Brown) Nevius. Pat married Bennie L. Engedal on June 12, 1948, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. Among the places Pat worked, the last place being Luther Hospital, where she worked for 17 years in Housekeeping, as a Supervisor, until her retirement in 1989. Pat was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church, where she was very active. Pat is survived by three sons, Steve (Sherry) Engedal of Eau Claire, David (Shelley) Engedal of Eau Claire, and Clay (Lori) Engedal of Eau Claire; seven grandchildren, Anton (Suzanne), Andy (Alyssa), Kyle, Jason, and Jordan (Molly) Boyle-Engedal, Bethany (Tim) Sather, and Rachel (Nate) Bunke; one step-granddaughter, Melissa Zander; seven great-grandchildren. Pat is also survived by two sisters, Louise Robinson and Jeanette Holly, two brothers-in-law, Lyle Engedal and Jerry (Joan) Engedal; plus many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bennie; one grandson; four brothers; one half-brother; four sisters; two brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014, at First Lutheran Church, 1005 Oxford Ave. in Eau Claire, with Pastor Amy Odgren officiating. A private family burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Town of Washington, at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving her family. Pat's family would like to express a heartfelt gratitude to Comforts of Home in Menomonie, WI, Grace Woodlands, in Eau Claire, and St. Croix Hospice for their exceptional care of Pat.
