Patricia M. "Pat" Johnson, age 81, of Eau Claire, passed away from congestive heart failure on Monday, June 4, 2018, at her home with her family by her side. Pat was born on May 27, 1937, in Merrill, WI, to Philip and Emma (Becker) Hauser. She lived in Milwaukee for a short time before her family settled in Eau Claire. She graduated from Regis High School in 1955. Pat married Lowell Johnson on May 21, 1960, at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Eau Claire. She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital and later worked as a patient aide at Medical Eye Clinic, retiring after 14 years. She was a member at St. James the Greater Catholic Church. Survived by her three sons, Tom, Mark and Mike, all of Eau Claire; one daughter, Lori (Mark) O'Koren, of The Woodlands, TX; grandchildren, Benjamin and Zachary O'Koren, Kaylee and Jack Johnson; daughter-in-law, Julie Johnson; brothers, Bill (Pat) Hauser, Jack (JoAnne) Hauser, and Paul (Cheryl) Hauser; sister in law, Clarice Hauser; many nieces, nephews and numerous good friends. She is further survived by her special dog, Zoe. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell T. Johnson; parents; brother, Philip Hauser. Pat enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, attending their many school functions and sporting activities. She cherished the 2 week long yearly summer visits from her grandchildren in Texas, by whom she was affectionately called "Snow Grandma." Pat enjoyed many shopping trips to the Twin Cities with her daughter and close friend, Dani. Friends played a big role in Pat's life and she always looked forward to the next lunch or dinner with the 12th Street Gang, the Regis girls, among others, and the yearly Labor Day family reunions hosted by her brother, Bill. She loved her flowers, reading, a good laugh, decorating her home, and the smell of fresh sheets from the clothesline (even in winter). Pat will be dearly missed by all. Pat's family would like to especially thank Dr. Horecki, Dr. Basu, Dr. Rogers, among others, for their care over the years; also, Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Dove Health Care – South, and Mayo Clinic Home Health & Hospice nurses. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, the American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle St., Suite 1500, Chicago, IL, or St. James the Greater Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St., Eau Claire, with Father Tom Krieg presiding. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 1st Ave, Eau Claire, and again one-half hour prior to the service at the church.
