Patricia "Pat" Mary Soley, 84 passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.  Pat was born on December 26, 1941 in Eau Claire, WI to Doris and Fred Schofield.

She attended Sherman Creek Elementary and graduated from Memorial High School in 1959.  Pat found the love of her life just three miles down the road from her home on the Westside of town. Pat dated John Soley through high school. They were joined together in marriage on June 4, 1960.  Pat worked at Chippewa Motor Freight until their daughter Teresa was born on August 8, 1961.  Pat then became a stay-at-home Mom where she was busy cooking, canning, gardening and helping John on the hobby farm, where she loved all the animals.  After 16 years Pat went to C.V.T.C to get her degree as a Nurse's aide. She worked for Sacred Heart Hospital until her retirement.  After spending time traveling to many different places with their dear friends, John and Diane Welsh, Pat decided to go back to work at Delong Middle School in the kitchen. During the holidays she also worked at Pleasant Valley Tree Farm with her husband John and grandson John.  Pat retired again in 2016, she moved in with her daughter, Teresa.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, John Soley, her parents, Fred and Doris Schofield and John's parents, Henry and Mary Soley.  Pat is survived by her daughter, Teresa Schultz, grandson, John Schultz (Sarah), great-grandchildren Scarlett, Levi Schultz and Jackson Moen.  Also, her beloved border collie, Nick and her Siamese cats.

The family would like to thank Lake Land Home Health, Pat's nurse Sara was wonderful. Heartland Hospice for all the care and compassion, extra thank you to Joy, Quinn and Josh.  A special thank you to Roxanne Kahan for all of her help and support to the family during this difficult time.

A funeral service will take place at 11am Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn -WEST CHAPEL, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, WI., with Father Tom Krieg officiating. Visitation will be 4pm – 7pm Friday, July 25, 2025 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire, following the funeral service.
