Paul W. Jones, 85, of Pigeon Falls and formerly of Blair died Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse. He was born in Chicago, IL, on December 19, 1924, the son of Sadie Hill.\r\nFollowing graduation from High School he entered the U.S. Army in 1941, during World War II, until his honorable discharge in 1946. He reentered the army again in 1948, and served during the Korean Conflict until his honorable discharge in 1955.\r\nPaul married Alice J. Meers in Chicago on December 8, 1951. The lived in Chicago until 1968, when they moved near Blair to dairy farm in Springfield Township, Jackson County, WI.\r\nPaul is survived his six children, Paul B. Jones of Mpls., Thomas K. Jones of Onalaska, Paula Wenzloff of Blair, Peter V. Jones of Chippewa Falls, Todd J. Jones of Pigeon Falls and Alex M. Jones of Chippewa Falls; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice; and a daughter, Theresa M. Jones.\r\nNo services will be held. Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving his family.
