PEARL M. PIERCE, 92, formerly 211 McKinley Ave., died Saturday, September 19, 1998 at Fairhaven Residential Facility in Whitewater, Wisc. She was born on May 4, 1906 in Argyle, Illinois to Daniel and Elizabeth (Ralston) McEachran.\r\nPearl attended elementary and high school in Rockford, Ill, and attended RockfordCollege. In 1928 she graduated from University of Illinois with a degree in education. She taught history at Rockford high school for one year. Pearl married Claire H. Pierce in Rockford, Illinois on February 15, 1930. They moved to Eau Claire in 1936 where they lived for 58 years before entering Fairhaven Retirement Community in Whitewater in June 1994.\r\nShe was a member and active for over fifty years at First Congregational Church in Eau Claire and was instrumental in the establishment of the altar guild.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Claire, of Whitewater; a daughter, Priscilla (John) Tomasovic of St. Louis; five grandchildren, Thomas (Robin) Pierce, Libby (John) Pierce-Wilber; Paula (Brian) Steele, John (Beth) Tomasovic, and Susan (Kurt) McClellan; seven great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Thomas and a granddaughter, Peggy.\r\n Memorial services were held yesterday at Fairhaven Residential Facility. Graveside Committal services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lakeview Cemetery with Pastor Linda Kuhn officiating . Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the family.
