Peggy L. Chovan, 62, of Eau Claire, died Monday, October 8, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire. Peggy was born in Eau Claire on June 3, 1950, a daughter of Roy and Goldie (Collins) Woodley. Peggy graduated from Eau Claire North High School. Peggy married William "Bill" Chovan on November 14, 1970, at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church. Peggy drove school bus for Eau Claire Student Transit for the past 25 years. Peggy was a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. Peggy also enjoyed volunteering with the Greyhound Rescue Program. Peggy is survived by her husband, Bill; three children, Stacey (Mike) Schweigert of Maplewood, MN, Brad Chovan and Erin (Brad) Schick both of Chippewa Falls, WI; eleven grandchildren, Taylor, Heather, Mitchell, Mikayla, Cade, Hunter, Brady, Stephen, David, Mathew, and Amy; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Juanita Gierach of Eau Claire. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Roy, Carl and Robert Woodley; two sisters, Bernice Hall and Shelby Allen; and a granddaughter, Marley Schick. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012, at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3715 London Road in Eau Claire with Rev. Frederick W. Theiste officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire and one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bob's House for Dogs, PO Box 15, Eau Claire, WI 54702, or to the donor's choice.
