Philemon L. Jennings, son to Milton Gregory Scott and Tamar Jennings went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. He was born in Chicago, IL on June 25, 1984. He moved here to Eau Claire, WI on October 3, 2003. Phil gave his life to Christ and was baptized in 1991 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago, Il. He graduated from McKinley Charter School and went on to attend college at Chippewa Valley Technical College and The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire where he was also employed for five years in the food service area. During his employment there he also became a baker and opened his own business La Blanc Gateau LLC where he sold baked goods. Phil also took time to volunteer in the community down at the Lighthouse which is an organization to assist others. He loved God and loved to sing Gospel music. Phil is survived by his mother, Tamar (Otha Biggs) Jennings; sisters, Marquita (Frederick) Davis, Alison Jennings, Khaylah Biggs and Kendra Biggs; father, Milton Scott; grandmother, Eula L. Jennings; nieces, Jasmine, Daniella, Janella; and nephew Frederick Jr.; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, January 16, 2015, at Birch Street Baptist Church, 3120 Birch Street, Eau Claire, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Pastor Tim Hallett, Jr. will be officiating. Interment will be in the Lutheran Church Cemetery, Eau Claire.
