Phillip A. "Phil" Stevens, 78, of Eau Claire, died at his home on Thursday, August 22, 2013, under the care of Mayo Clinic Health System Home Health and Hospice. He was born on May 10, 1935, in Eleva, WI to Arthur and Hilda (Engum) Stevens. On October 31, 1954, he married Marlene Olson in Eau Claire. He was employed by Valley Builder Hardware until he retired in 1999. He loved woodworking, was an enthusiastic tractor hobbyist, and liked to play piano and guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marlene, and 9 siblings. Phil is survived by his children, Cheryl (Tom) Anderson of Eau Claire, Susan (Butch) Pinkert of Eau Claire, Lori (Jeff) Miland of Eau Claire, and Mike (Martie) Stevens of Waukesha, WI; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2013, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire with Pastor David Stratton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. He will be loved and missed by all of us, and forever in our hearts.
