Billie was born in Eau Claire on July 9, 1933, daughter of Melvin and Pauline (Rosner) Stevens. Billie grew up on the west side of Eau Claire and lived a very happy childhood. She graduated from Eau Claire High School with the Class of 1952. Billie married Lyle H. Hubbard on June 23, 1956, they were happily married for 60 years. Being a great housewife and a loving mother, Billie would always put her family first. She was known as a very kind and sweet woman by everyone who knew her. Billie was extremely devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her two grandchildren. Billie had volunteered at Luther Hospital for 20 years, working at the front desk. She had enjoyed the art of painting ceramics and also was an avid baker. Billie was a devoted Catholic, being a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church in Eau Claire. Billie and Lyle were members of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1408, which they enjoyed. Billie was the beloved mother of her son, Bradley Jon (Linda) Hubbard of Eau Claire and her daughter, Julie (John) Hibbard of Chippewa Falls; and grandchildren, Meghan and Travis Hibbard of Chippewa Falls; sister, Betty House of Eau Claire; sister-in-law, Carol Stevens of Eau Claire; brother-in-law, William Craig of Madison, VA. She is also survived by many relatives and friends. The family of Billie wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Lake Hallie Memory Care staff for their compassionate and loving care of their mother and grandmother. We will never forget your kindness! Also would like to express our gratitude to St. Joseph Hospice Care. Even with Alzheimer's, your kind heart and sweetness always had shown through. "We will forever love and miss you grandma." We cannot even imagine how happy dad/grandpa is to see you again.
