Obituary

PHYLLIS C. TYLER, 84, of 1910 Ohm Ave. died, Monday, March 5, 2001 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. She was born on January 3, 1917 in Chippewa Falls to Walter and Olga (Hinkle) Jennings. She married Ray W. Tyler May 23, 1941 in Stillwater, Minnesota.\r\nPhyllis was a member of Grace Lutheran Church for 69 years where she was active in Tuesday morning bible study and the Rebecca circle.\r\nSurvivors include two sons, Timothy J. (Marge) Tyler of Eau Claire and Robert S. Tyler (Susan Pecor) of Altoona, a daughter, Mary Rae (Larry) Hoepner, of Eau Claire; four grandchildren, Randall (Kristy) Hoepner of Bloomington, MN, Melinda (Brad) Wright of Eau Claire and Andrew and Katie Tyler, both of Eau Claire. Four great-grandchildren, Joshua and Marissa Hoepner and Emma and Hannah Wright; two cousins, Jean Langdon of Altoona and Leonard P. (Barb) Laundergan of New Fairfield, CT; three sisters in-law; six nephews; one niece; and her loving friend, Don Dundas of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray in 1978; a son, Thomas P. Tyler; and a brother, Claire Jennings, Sr.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
