Phyllis L. Weiss, age 91, of Eau Claire, died June 22, 2014, at Oakwood Villa in Altoona. Phyllis was born on August 19, 1922, in Eau Claire, a daughter of Arthur and Julia (Christianson) Johnson. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School. On October 9, 1942, Phyllis married Mark G. Weiss. Phyllis was a life time member of Hope Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She took great pride in making everyone feel welcome in her home, and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by her son, Tim Weiss of Weston; two daughters, Linda Young of Eau Claire, and Becky (Dan) Hilson of Eau Claire; five grandchildren, Lori Goulet of Eau Claire, Scott (Carrie) Glenz of Eau Claire, Chad (Deanna) Young of Barron, Tammy (Corey) Sivertson of Weston, and Mark (Kaia) Hilson of Central Point, Oregon; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Jane Peterson of Bloomer; and one son-in-law, Dick (Carol Sue) Glenz of Eau Claire. Phyllis is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mark; daughter, Connie Glenz; three brothers, Glen, Bill and Clarence Johnson; and four sisters, Mildred Redman, Vivian Glenz, Lucille Foster, and Dorothy Knitter. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Hope Lutheran Church, 2226 Eddy Lane in Eau Claire with Pastor Richard Lund officiating. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire and one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the church.
