Raymond Harold Fetter, 71, died Thursday, May 5, 2016, at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital due to leukemia. He was born on March 11, 1945, to Harold and Vivian (Kuhnert) Fetter of Eau Claire. Ray graduated from North High School in 1963, became a member of the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1967. He was employed at Uniroyal and American Phoenix for a combined 48½ years. Ray enjoyed softball, trapshooting, hunting, and fishing, but his real passions were for golf and woodworking. Working with wood gave him a means to channel his talents into creating beautiful memorabilia. He valued his friends, old and new, and had a wonderful knack for honoring their place in his life. Ray is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marilyn; daughters, Shannon Feldbruegge of St. Paul, MN, and Tracie (Karl) Jensen of Hudson, WI; step-daughter, Lisa (Whalen) Partlow of Ladysmith, WI; grandchildren, Dennis and Jack Feldbruegge, Ethan and Owen Jensen, Nicole (Marcus) Stabe, and Haley Partlow; one great-grandchild, Parker Raymond Stabe; sister, Barbara Walters of Chippewa Falls, WI, and her children, Brenda (Mike) Hanley, their son, Brandon Hanley, Chippewa Falls, WI, and Debi (Rich) Baumgartner and their children, Harley, Ben, and Abby Baumgartner, Naperville, IL. Also surviving Ray are his brothers-in-law, Dr. Patrick (Betty) Golden of Eugene, OR, Gene Golden of Eau Claire, Fred (Diane) Golden of Eau Claire; sisters-in-law Carol Bailey and Diane Golden of Minneapolis, MN, and Mary (Mike) Wolfe of Rice Lake, WI; their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and Ray's special hunting partner of many years, Keith Partlow. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law, Tom Golden, John Golden, and Jim Walters; and sister-in-law, Kathleen (Golden) Harper. A sincere thank you to Dr. Muslim for his unrelenting care of Ray and to the whole 8th Floor West Oncology team at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital. Also, many thanks to the Marshfield Clinic Cancer Care, Comfort Care, and HSHS St. Joseph's Home Health & Hospice. You went above and beyond. A gathering in Ray's memory will be held from 1 to 4 PM, on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the Hallie Golf Course, 2196 100th St, Chippewa Falls, WI. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Marshfield Cancer Clinic Center Patient Needs Fund, 900 W. Clairemont Ave. Eau Claire, WI 54701. "Ray was a remarkable man and husband, dad and grandfather. There aren't enough words to describe what he meant to me. He will forever live in my heart." Marilyn
