Raymond W. Henderson, 71, of 1240 Archer Lane, Eau Claire, died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at Luther Hospital due to congestive heart failure. He was born on July 14, 1930, in Chippewa County to A. Ray and Susan (Zais) Henderson. He attended school at Cadott and graduated from Cadott High School in 1948.\r\nRay enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War serving four years. He was honorably discharged in 1952. After his discharge from the Air Force, Ray was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1983. His last position with the U.S. Postal Service was that of postmaster at Faribault, Minnesota. Ray had a very successful career and credits that success to the unending support of his wife and family and the quality people he worked with.\r\nHe is survived by his wife, Hildegarde P. (Pat) Henderson; his mother, Susan Henderson of Chippewa Falls; three sons, Jeffrey C. (Kathy A.) Henderson of Chippewa Falls, Douglas M. (Theresa M.) Henderson of Menomonie, and Dennis R. (Charlene F.) Henderson of Milton; eight grandchildren, Jason W. and Laura A., Henderson, Rebecca R. (Jason) Brooks, Kathryn E. and Peter Douglas Henderson, Nathan R., Andrea P. and Phillip A. Henderson; and one great-grandchild Mackenzie Rae. \r\nHe was preceded in death by two sons, Gregory L. and David L.; his father and brother, Dennis.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2001 at Lake Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Ruth E. Overman officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery where American Legion Post #53 will conduct military graveside rites. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Lake Street United Methodist Church, P.O.
