Richard "Dick" C. Johnson, 75, of Hayward, WI, died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Barron, WI. Dick was born in Eau Claire, WI, on December 19, 1937, a son of Chester and Genevieve (Flynn) Johnson. Dick graduated from Eau Claire High School. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force. Dick worked for Wisconsin Bell before retiring after 35 years. Dick is survived by his wife, Carol; two sons, James (Sandy) Johnson of Bloomer, WI and Jay (Susan Forman) of High Bridge, WI; two grandsons, Bradie (Becky) Johnson and Jacob (Val Kuepfer) Johnson, both of Bloomer, WI; three great-grandchildren, Braxton, Braycin and Addisen Mae Johnson; two sisters, Lois Haines of La Porte, IN and Sandra (Peter) Ritter of Eau Claire; a special cousin, Jan Fenner of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Donna Paape. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire with Father George Thayikuzhithottu officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of services at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Military honors will be conducted by the VFW, Post 305 at the cemetery.
