Obituary

Richard M. Hagmann, 79, of Eau Claire died Thursday, May 31, 2007, at Sacred Heart Hospital.\r\nHe was born in Eau Claire, WI, on April 3, 1928, the son of Michael and Mary (Stopfer) Hagmann. He graduated from St. Patrick's High School with the class of 1946.\r\nRichard married Rose M. Carroll on June 17, 1950, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eau Claire.\r\nRichard earlier in life worked for Carroll's Grocery and Wyman's Grocery Stores. For 34 years, he worked for Pope&Talbot as a production worker. Following his retirement in March of 1990, he worked as a playground volunteer for 16 years at Immaculate Conception School.\r\nIn his free time, Richard enjoyed playing cards with his beloved wife, Rose.\r\nHe was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he sang in the choir for many years.\r\nRichard is survived by his wife, Rose; three daughters, Rosanne (Bernard) Hartung, Mary (Chris) Chatham, and Jean (Jerry) Sagstetter, all of Eau Claire; son, Steven (Kim Haas) Hagmann of Eau Claire; daughter-in-law, Theresa Hagmann and former daughter-in-law, Kim Hagmann both of Eau Claire; seventeen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three more on the way; two sisters, Marie Steubing and Bernice Kassing, both of Eau Claire; brother, Norbert (Betty) Hagmann of Eau Claire; two sisters-in-law, Mary Claire Hagmann of Eau Claire, and Pauline Hagmann of Altoona; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jim Hagmann; four brothers, Larry, Alfred, Art, and Father James Hagmann; a sister, Eleanor Feeney; three brothers-in-law, Joe Feeney, Harold Kassing, and Howard Steubing; and a sister-in-law, Agnes Hagmann.\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2007, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Eugene A. Klink celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Monday at the church. A Public prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.\r\n
