Richard "Rick" A. Holte, 35, 3238 7th St., died Tuesday, August 14, 2001 at Luther Hospital. He was born in Eau Claire on July 5, 1966 to Richard and Mary (Lokken ) Holte. Rick married Jane Marie Richards in Eau Claire this year on May 16th. He was a house painter for many years in Eau Claire. \r\nSurvivors include his wife, Jane; his son, Brandon Miller; his daughter, Katie Remington; three step-children, David Richards, Samantha and Joe Harwell; his mother, Mary (Robert) Phelps of San Diego, CA; his father, Richard Holte of Eau Claire; his sister, Melissa (Clayton) St. George of St. Paul, MN; his half-brother, Joseph Phelps of San Diego, CA; and five step-brothers and step-sisters, Ben Phelps, David Phelps, Teresa Ziller, Carrie Ruf, and William Sorenson; maternal grandmother, Dorothy (Harry) Valaski; his two uncles, Noble (Diane) Lokken, and Loren Holte, both of Eau Claire; and many cousins. .\r\nHe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael and Ann Fonfara, Harry and Margaret Holte, and Noble and Myrtle Lokken. \r\nRick will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2001, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, with Minister Dean Wheelock officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Saturday.
