Richard A. Myhre, 75, of Eau Claire, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. He was born on April 21, 1937, in rural Clark County, WI, to Edward O. and Irene B. (Klessig) Myhre. Richard married Audrey J. Larson on April 23, 1960, at Drammen Lutheran Church. He worked as an optician at Monson Eye Care Center in Eau Claire and worked in the optics field for over 50 years. Richard was a member of First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. He was an avid packer fan who enjoyed spending time with his whole family, and traveling the globe on many adventures in the recent years with his wife, Audrey. Richard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Audrey; children, Cheryl (Tony) Olson, Brian (Laurie) Myhre and Kirk (Karen) Myhre; seven grandchildren; two bonus grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 11am, on Monday, September 17, 2012, at First Lutheran Chruch, 1005 Oxford Ave. in Eau Claire, with Pastor Michael Rehok officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery following the service. Visitation will begin at 9:30am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Luther Park Bible Camp in Chetek, WI or First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire are welcome.
