Richard P. Rzepiejewski, 57, of Eau Claire, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire. He was born in South Milwaukee, WI, on July 10, 1955, a son of Vincent and Rosemary (Taschner) Rzepiejewski. Richard attended high school at Regis and North High in Eau Claire, graduating from North High in 1973. He went on to complete his apprenticeship in carpentry at District One Technical School, where he was recognized as an outstanding student. Richard had worked many years in construction at Charleson, Market and Johnson, and Lunda Construction. In 1999, he proudly earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, in Construction from UW-Stout. Richard dedicated himself to his work and his education and was recognized for his level of excellence. Richard took great pride in being the father of his two sons, Steve and Brad. Richard enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, and just being in the outdoors with his dog, Smoky. He also loved watching sports on television, especially NASCAR. Richard will be remembered for the countless laughs he spread with his quick wit and sense of humor. His spirit and care for family will be greatly missed! Richard is survived by his sons, Steve and Brad Rzepiejewski both of Eau Claire; three brothers, Thomas of Eau Claire, David (Joyce) of Onalaska, and Paul of Eau Claire; two sisters, Karen of Eau Claire, and Janet (Mike) Alekna of Wisconsin Rapids; and many nieces and nephews Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Carolee Rzepiejewski. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. with Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
