Ricky E. Mayer, 63, of Eau Claire, passed away on Saturday, May 19th, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems – Eau Claire Ricky was born on September 23rd, 1954 in Eau Claire, son of Kenneth and Margaret (Fox) Mayer. He worked for Holiday Inn for many years and also, for Phillips Plastics of Menomonie. He was a member of Saving Grace Church. He was a kind and helpful friend, he loved to take walks in Phoenix Park with his dog, Buddy, and he loved a good thrift sale. Rick is survived by his daughter, Annette Green of Eau Claire, grandson, Cody Kurtzweil of Eau Claire. Also, he is survived by his siblings, Nancy Mayer of Eau Claire, Mary Dicke of Hudson, Daniel (Donna) Mayer of Blair, Carol (Michael) Pickerign of Eau Galle, Deborah (Philip) Machmeier of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews. His dog, Buddy, will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents; Kenneth and Margaret Mayer. Funeral services will be held at Saving Grace Church, Eau Claire with Pastor David Irgens. Upon Rick's request, the memorial services are for immediate family. Lenmark, Gomsrud, Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.
