Rita A. Bruckner, 77, of Eau Claire died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Oakwood Villa in Altoona. She was born August 11, 1938, in Mondovi, the daughter of Philip and Hilda (Kohlman) Anibas, Sr. Rita married James P. Bruckner in Eau Claire on December 22, 1968. Rita worked as a waitress at Heckels Restaurant on Hastings Way for 47 years. In 2005 she began working with the grounds crew at Eau Claire Country Club where a special "Rita's Garden" has been established. Survivors include her husband, James; her two sons, Ricky (Debbie) Guenther of Altoona and Larry (Sue) Guenther of Beloit; daughter, Sheri (Bill) Schramm of Wilson; seven grandchildren, Ricky (Valorie) Guenther, Kenneth (Kate) Guenther, Chadd Guenther, Kim (Pete) Woodkey, Jake Schramm, Megan (Colin) Howie, and Nicole (Justin) Dibble; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dale (Cheryl) Anibas of Mondovi and Jerry (Dorothy) Anibas of Eau Claire; sister, Carol (Fred) Johnson of Pacific City, Oregon; and sister-in-law, Alice Anibas of Mondovi; sister-in-law, Margaret Thompson of Elk River, Minnesota; also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Molly; and her brother, Philip Anibas, Jr. A Memorial Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Donald Meuret officiating. THERE WILL BE NO VISITATION PRIOR TO THE MASS. Burial will be at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetery.
