Robert J. "Rob" Bellinger, age 40, of Chippewa Falls, died, Thursday, July 9, 2015 at his home in Chippewa Falls. Rob was born March 6, 1975 in Milwaukee, WI to Robert G. and Carol J. (Vanderwerff) Bellinger. He was a graduate of North High School. He worked for many years as a cook/chef at several restaurants in Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls, as well as in Bloomer and Mondovi. He was employed at North Shores Supper Club and Milwaukee Burger Company at the time of his death. Rob grew up enjoying large family gatherings with his many cousins, aunts and uncles. He treasured those memories and was happy to see them all again at a recent family wedding. As a youth, Rob loved playing hockey and Little League; he was especially proud to hit a home run while playing on the National League all-star team. His constant companion for many years was his loyal lab Maggie, but nothing brought bigger smiles than the hugs and kisses from his special nieces Tenley and Cambrie. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Carol and Mark Brogelman of Eau Claire; one sister, Melissa (Olie) Wold of Eau Claire; two nieces, Tenley and Cambrie Wold; grandmother, Betty Vanderwerff of Paddock Lake, WI; step-mother, Rita Bellinger of Bloomer; two step-sisters, Jill (Brent) Schwebach of Eau Claire and Jennifer Brogelman of San Antonio, TX; one step-brother, Jay (Rachel) Brogelman of Eau Claire; a step-niece and nephews; and his many cousins, aunts and uncles. Rob was preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Bellinger; and grandparents, Leo Vanderwerff and Thad and Ida Bellinger. A visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, West Chapel, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave, Eau Claire, WI with a Prayer Service starting at 7:00 p.m. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.
