Robert C. "Robear" Deilke, 57, of Eau Claire, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012 at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born in Eau Claire, to Richard and Carol (Anderson) Deilke. He never lost his strong will and determination to live. His love, compassion, and great sense of humor will be missed by many. Robert is survived by his wife, Shelly; daughter, Jess (Kyle) Meyer of Mt. Calvary, WI; son, Cory (Angie) Deilke of Chippewa Falls; step-daughters, Stacy (Matt) McIntire of Eau Claire, and Jenny (Mark) Loomis of Eleva; father, Richard Deilke of Eau Claire; sister, Pat Andersen of Eau Claire; brother, Steve (Shawn) Deilke of Altoona; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Deilke. Throughout his life he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed dirt track racing, fishing, cheering on the Packers, and NASCAR racing. A memorial gathering to celebrate Robear's life will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave. Eau Claire. His wish would be for everyone to dress casual. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
