Robert J. Farber, 80, of Eau Claire, died Friday, October 01, 2010, at his home.\r\nRobert was born in Oconomowoc, WI on August 13, 1930, a son of Jack and Alice (Doelz) Farber. \r\nHe graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1948, and received his degree in Economics from UW-Madison.\r\nRobert served in the U.S. Navy and the National Guard from 1949 until his honorable discharge in 1951. \r\nRobert married Patricia J. Shea on May 25, 1957, in Eau Claire.\r\nHe worked in sales in different fields throughout his career.\r\nRobert was a member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church.\r\nRobert enjoyed gardening, watching his grandchildren participating in sports and other activities, fishing, going up north to the hunting cabin, and Wednesday morning coffee with the boys.\r\nRobert is survived by his wife, Patricia of 53 years; two daughters, Jane (Al) Ossman and Sharon (Kent) Schumacher; two sons, Daniel (Cheryle) Farber and David (Michele) Farber; ten grandchildren, Nicole (Adam), Nicklas (Krista), Jacob, Katelyn , Joseph, Sara, Sam, Landon, Alyssa, and Austin; two great-grandchildren, Cecelia and Adeline; and a sister, Betty Kragthorpe. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Art Kragthorpe. \r\nMemorial Mass will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St., in Eau Claire, with Father John A. Schultz officiating. Visitation will be from 4 - 6:30 pm on Tuesday, October 5, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, with a Public Prayer Vigil at 6:15 pm.\r\nThe family request Memorials be directed to Northwest Wisconsin Homecare, P.O.
