Robert E. Hayes, 71, of Eau Claire, formerly of Chelmsford, MA died at home on Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Robert was born on October 1, 1933, in Boston, MA, the son of Edward and Helen (Mulloney) Hayes. Bob attended Holy Cross where he received a bachelor's degree. He went on to graduate from Georgetown with a degree in Dentistry and completed a residency in Oral Surgery at Tufts University. Dr. Hayes practiced for 30 years as an Oral Surgeon in Lowell, MA. He retired and later moved to Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Bob is survived by his five children: Kelly (John) Hayes of Chelmsford, MA, Dianne Hayes of Boston, MA, Edward "Ted" (Ann) Hayes of Eau Claire, Kevin (Julie) Hayes of Dover, MA and Jennifer (Lawrence) Miller of Brookline, MA; ten grandchildren include: Matthew and Zachary Hayes; Katie, Will and Ryan Hayes; Grady, Ambrey, and Finn Hayes, and Ruby and Lawson Miller; two sisters, Betty Hayes of Stoneham, MA and Barbara (David) Sullivan of Wellesley, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews. \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents. Bob will be dearly missed.\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be at Noon, Saturday, September 3, 2005, at Newman Parish at the Ecumenical Religious Center, 110 Garfield Ave., Eau Claire with Father George R. Szews officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
