Robert J. Henneman, 63, of Eau Claire, died Thursday, December 8, 2016, at his residence. He was born in Eau Claire on March 19, 1953, a son of Gerald and Joan (Fitch) Henneman. He was raised on their dairy farm in Mondovi, WI, and attended Mondovi High School, graduating with the Class of 1972. Bob married Kathleen Platek on April 22, 1978. Bob worked as a steel worker/welder at Veritas Steel, formerly PDM Bridge. Bob enjoyed camping in the Washburn-Bayfield area, fishing, boating, vegetable (especially sweet corn and tomatoes) gardening, and going to the cabin at Tree Lake in Portage County. He was mechanically minded, a great tinkerer that loved to fix things. Bob was full of the love of laughter, had a goofy sense of humor, and always liked to use the phrase "UFF DA!" Robert was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Robert is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughters, Melissa and Revay Henneman; son, Andy (Shannon) Henneman; parents, Gerry and Joan Henneman; sister, Sue (Glen Landwehr) Vick; brothers, Leon (Rose), Ken (Bev), Noel (Karen) Henneman; and many other relatives including, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; his chocolate lab Tootsie, and grandpuppy, Jack. He was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Henneman; brother-in-law, Dan Vick; sister-in-law, Maureen Henneman. Memorial Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1120 Cedar St. Eau Claire, WI 54703, with Pastor Peter Soli officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 2519 N. Hillcrest Pkwy.
