ROBERT "BOB" J. HENNING, 77, of 2033 Meadow Lane, died Monday, May 10, 1999, at Dove Health Care Center. He was born on May 15, 1921 in Stearns County, Minnesota to Otto and Eva (Kirschner) Henning. He grew up in Elk River, MN, where he graduated from high school. Bob later moved to Eau Claire where he was a pitcher playing professional baseball\r\nHe married Catherine G. McDonald on February 23, 1946 in Eau Claire.\r\nBob was employed at National Presto Industries, Hillcrest Country Club and then worked fifteen years at Pope&Talbot until his retirement in 1985. \r\nOther sports he enjoyed participating in included bowling and golf.\r\nSurvivors include a nephew, John (Marji) Rogstad of Eau Claire; and many great nieces and nephews.\r\nThose who preceded him in death include his parents; his wife, Catherine in 1993; and a nephew, Philip Rogstad this past week.\r\nMemorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Christ Church Cathedral with The Very Rev. H. Scott Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
