ROBERT C. LOOMIS, 58, of 1820 Crescent Ave., died Wednesday, August 11, 1999 at Luther Hospital as a result of a bicycle-automobile accident. He was born Nov.25, 1940 to Lawrence and Elmira (Wenaas) Loomis in Eau Claire. Bob served in the U.S. Navy from January 1958 to September 1964. He married Anita Wold in Union, Michigan in 1972. He worked in construction as an Ironworker in Florida and Wisconsin, until retiring early, due to a medical disability. Bob was a Nascar racing enthusiast and enjoyed attending area stock car races.\r\nSurvivors include a son, Paul (Donna); two grandchildren, Zachary and Austin, and Paul's mother, Anita all of Edwardsburg, MI; three brothers, Roger (Glenda Borgen) of Eau Claire, Gordon (Kathy Michels) of Eleva, and James of Chicago; a sister, Jane (Dick Kieffer) Dobbs of Colfax; and several nieces and nephews. \r\nHis parents preceded him in death.\r\nMemorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Friends may call an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
