Robert M. Lee, age 87, of Eau Claire, died on January 21, 2012 at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Altoona. He was born in Eau Claire on September 5, 1924, to William and Wealtha (Mjeld) Lee. Robert was enlisted in the US Army on March 23, 1943 and a member of the England, 8th Air Force, in the European Theatre of WWII. He was honorably discharged on December 20, 1945. He is survived by his brother, Donald Lee along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Arthur, Harold, Ione and Charles. Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Rolf Nestingen will be officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire.
