Robert "Bob" W. Matz, 20, of Allen, died Monday, July 29, 1996 as a result of an auto accident near Fairchild. He was born December 28, 1975 in Eau Claire to William "Bill " and Connie (Frase) Matz. Bob was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Cleghorn. He was a 1994 graduate of Memorial High School, Eau Claire and was currently attending U-W River Falls majoring in Dairy Science. He was recognized for his achievements in the Holstein Breeders Assoc. of which he was a member, Bob had also been a member of FFA, Pleasant Valley Clovers 4-H Club, and River Falls Dairy Club. Bob had a bright future, was fun to be and will be deeply missed by all.\r\nSurvivors include his parents, Bill and Connie Matz; a brother, Joe all of Allen; a grandmother, Hazel Frase of Eau Claire; a grandfather, Arnold Matz of Altoona; a very close friend, Tami DeBoom of Ellsworth; six aunts and uncles, Shirley (Howard) Bengtson of Baldwin, Sharon (Ray) Gizewski and Sonja(Roger) Bauer of Foster, Carol (Gary) Gehler, Diane(Roman) Fritz, Debra (Steve) Green all of Eau Claire; many cousins and friends.\r\nHe was preceded in death by a grandmother, Agnes Matz and a grandfather, Frederick Frase.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 1:30 P.M. Thursday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Roger Eden officiating. Burial will be in St. Pauls Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Clear Creek. Friends may call 3 to 7 P.M. Wednesday (Today) at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.\r\n
