Robert M. Orr, 94, of Altoona passed away Friday, January 23, 2009, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born in Racine, Wisconsin on October 7, 1914, a son of James and Gertrude (Ferry) Orr. \r\nRobert married Anne K. Miller on October 11, 1941, inRacine. \r\nAfter his retirement in Racine, they moved to their house by the river near Bruce. This was his dream come true. They later moved to Eau Claire where he worked 13 years for Copps Grocery Store as a bagger.\r\nHe was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.\r\nRobert is survived by his daughter, Elise Orr of Altoona; and other relatives and friends.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his wife, Anne in 1992; his parents; three sisters, Gertrude, Jean and Marjorie; and two brothers, Jack and James. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, in the chapel at Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
