Obituary

Robert "Bobby" A. Wing, age 51, of Eau Claire, went to be with his Lord on Friday, October 20, 2006, at Luther Hospital. He was born at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire on November 8, 1954, the son of Arnold T. and G. Elaine (Weig) Wing.\r\nBobby graduated from Memorial High School with the class of 1973. He then entered the U.S. Army on August 30, 1973, and served with the 833rd Ordnance Comp. until his honorable discharge on September 3, 1976. \r\nHe worked over 28 years at the city desk for First Supply / Gerhards until retiring due to his health in May of 2005.\r\nHe was a member of First Lutheran Church. \r\nHe loved following NASCAR, was an avid collector of Texaco memorabilia, enjoyed collecting and working on cars.\r\nBobby is survived by his father, Arnold; two sisters, Deborah K. Wing and Cynthia L. (Andrew) Reed both of Eau Claire; his aunt, Carol Weig of Kent, WA; and several cousins.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his mother.\r\nBobby was a wonderful and caring brother and son. He will be missed by all who knew him.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 23, 2006, at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire where American Legion Post #53 will conduct military graveside honors. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\n \r\n
