Our Dad, Roger T. Falk, "W9ERW" age 83, of Eau Claire, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at the Clairemont Nursing and Rehab in Eau Claire. Dad was born on Christmas Day, 1930, to Carl and Marie (Thompson) Falk of Eau Claire. He married Betty Moriarty, of Eau Claire, on December 9, 1950, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eau Claire. Dad is once again complete, as he is reunited with the love of his life who left him behind on November 19, 2003. Dad traveled the world but rarely left home; however, through the wonders of ham radio and computers he made friends from all corners of the globe. He loved to fish from the clear-water fly fishing streams to the northern lakes of Birchwood and Hayward. "Fish on Dad… I know they are always biting where you are, and say, "Hi" to Mom, John and Tom. Until we see you again… Love, Your kids." Dad will be deeply missed by his three sons, Steve (Renie) Falk of Baldwin, MI, Jerry (Pam) Falk, of Lakeville, MN, and Mike (Kim) Falk, of Minnetonka, MN; one daughter, Luanne (Paul) Kroetz of Richland Center, WI; seven grandchildren, Andy (Jess), Adam, Ryan, Erin, Sam, Dan (Kelli), and Jill; one brother, Bill Falk of Maryland; and one sister, Pat (Brent) Jordahl of Roseville, MN. Dad will be further missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dad was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents, Carl and Marie; and two sons, John and Tom Falk. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home West Chapel, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire, with Deacon Larry Agema officiating.
