Romaine Mildred Klawiter, 63, 3225 Oakland Street, died Thursday, April 17, 2003 at her home. She was born on July 26, 1939, in Rochester, Minn., the daughter of Milo and Mildred (Peck) Stensrud. Romaine married James Kenneth Klawiter on September 16, 1961 at Grace Lutheran Church.\r\nShe was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.\r\nRomaine's family was very special to her and they will always treasure the many fond memories. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.\r\nSurvivors include her husband, James Kenneth; her parents, Milo and Mildred Stensrud of Winona, MN; her six children, Jodi (Larry) Duffy of Lawton, OK, and their children, Adam, David and Noah and Romaine's great-granddaughter Valli, Nancy (Robin) Bedell of Eau Claire, and their children, Andrew and Daniel, James (Michelle) of Phoenix, AZ, and their children, Amber, Brianne and Stephanie, Thomas (Shannon) of Eleva, and their children, Shauna, Erin, Tiffany, Brittney and Miah, Cheryl (Mike) Cornell of Eau Claire and their children, Joseph and Nichole, and Bryan (Mindy) of Eau Claire; two brothers, Richard (Virginia) Stensrud of Lakeville, MN and Gerald (Carol) Stensrud of Mallard, IA; two brothers-in-law, Gary (Cora) Klawiter and Douglas (Jill) Klawiter both of Eau Claire and many nieces and nephews.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Howard Fehr officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Washington. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the Church.
