ROMAINE "BOZO" C. LUND, 69, 428 Putnam St., died Friday, October 9, 1998 at his home. He was born February 6, 1929 to Raymond and Helen (Schuch) Lund in Eau Claire. Romaine graduated from UW-EC with B.A. degree, and completed his master's degree in Guidance and Counseling at U.W. Stout.\r\nHe entered the U.S. Air Force in August 1950, serving during the Korean Conflict until his honorable discharge in July 1954. Romaine married Mary Anna Stearns on July 11, 1959 at Sacred Heart Church in Eau Claire. For thirty years, he was an employment counselor for the State of Wisconsin Job Service.\r\nRomaine was a member of Sacred Heart Church, V.F.W. Post #305, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1408, UW-EC and UW-Stout Alumni, and the cemetery committee of Sacred Heart Parrish.\r\nSurvivors include his wife, Mary; mother, Helen Strater of Eau Claire; three children,James A. (Mary) of Opelika, AL, Linda M. (Kim) Mason and Michael R. Lund both of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, Tricia, April, Christina, Jessica, Rachel, and Jordan; a sister, Geraldine Prueher of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his father, Raymond and a son, Kurt.\r\nBozo was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer, who loved the great outdoors.His wit and humor will be sadly missed by his family and friends.\r\nFuneral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father John W. Steiner officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home, where V.F.W. Post #305 will conduct military rites at 6 p.m., Moose Rites by Moose Lodge #1408 at 6:30 p.m., and a prayer vigil at 7 p.m.
